How to Make a Snowflake Garland

How to Make a Snowflake Garland
This is how I made a snowflake garland to hang in my house. Thanks for reading!

Starting with a square piece of paper, which you can make by folding the paper in a triangle, then cutting off the strip at the bottom. Save the strips! Then fold it in half diagonally.

Fold the triangle in half again. Then start to fold that in thirds.

Once it is in thirds, fold it up and turn it to the side that looks like this.

Cut the top off at an angle, to make another triangle.

Now be creative and cut out any shapes you want. Then unfold the triangle to reveal a beautiful snowflake.

Now take the ends you cut off in the beginning, and cut them in fourths.

Then tape one of the 4 pieces in a loop, take another strip and loop it through the first one and tape it.

Make the garland as long as you want. Then tie white yarn or string to the snowflake, then hang it on the garland.

Hang your garland wherever you want, and enjoy the festive addition to your house!

5 Ways to Use Coconut Oil

1. The first way that I have used coconut oil is by using it as a face moisturizer. I will usually either use it before my Cetaphil moisturizer, mix it with my Cetaphil moisturizer, or just use it by its self if you want super soft skin in the morning. I like it because if you have sensitive skin, it won't irritate it because it is all natural.

2. The second way is to use it for cooking instead of vegetable or canola oil. More specifically I like to use it for popcorn, fist of all because I think it tastes better, and Bonus! it's healthier. It is also very useful for just substituting it in your favorite recipes.

3. The third way is to use it for dental health. The most common way is to do oil pulling, which is basically putting the oil in your mouth and swishing it for around 10 minutes to get rid of bacteria. I also like to just put a little on my finger, then rub it on my teeth after brushing at night, then letting it stay on over night to help with bacteria and strength, it can also help whiten over time.

4. The forth way is to use it for hair care. I usually just put a little on the ends of my hair after a shower so my scalp won't look oily and it helps moisturize dry ends and can help prevent split ends.

5. The last way that I like to use coconut oil is as an eye makeup remover. After washing my face, I put some on a tissue or a damp washcloth then rub away my remaining eye makeup. This is great because it won't strip the skin around your eye of moisture like some eye makeup removers can, instead it actually moisturizes the skin as it removes the makeup.

Beauty Empties November 2015

These are my beauty empties for the month of November. Enjoy!

This is the Dream Wonder Powder from Maybelline. I bought it from Target and I've had it for a long time and I needed to through it away because it was old and it had hit pan big time, so I put it in my empties. I would re-purchase because it was a very creamy formula for a powder, and if I wanted to use it without any concealer under it, it would make a pretty good light coverage powder foundation.

This is the Secret Clear Gel scent expressions deodorant in So very Summerberry that I bought from Target. This is my favorite deodorant because I don't get as many problems with it leaving white spots as normal deodorants, also because of their wide range of scents. Needless to say, I have already re-purchased it.

This is the Bodycology exfoliating sugar scrub in Runaway Heart. I went looking for a body exfoliator and this is what I found and I liked it a lot and have already re-purchased it in a different scent, just to test it out. This ones scent is very sweet and musky and I preferred it to the one that I have now.

This is the Full Lash bloom mascara by Covergirl that I bought from Target. Most mascaras end up being fine for me, and I am always trying new ones, but the Covergirl mascaras are always dryer than others, if you like that then you would love them but it's not really my favorite.

This is the Macintosh Apple body wash that I bought at ROSS. I bought this about 4 years ago, so I bought they sell it anymore but it was a very nice body wash because it had a pump and it smelled very sweet but also musky. I'm sure you could find something similar at ROSS now.

This is the aloe fresh hydrating body lotion by Vaseline. You can probably buy this at any drugstore, but I can't remember exactly where I bought mine. I loved this lotion because it was very soothing because of the aloe and it also smelled great because it has cucumber extracts in it.

This is the fruity and cheeky cherry Batiste dry shampoo that I bought from Target. Batiste is my favorite dry shampoo, but I have yet to find my favorite scent. This one was better than I thought it would be because it didn't smell like cherry medicine, it was a lot more sweet which helped.

My Top 5 Candles!

These are my top 5 candles. Some are ones I would only burn in the fall for obvious reasons (although I wouldn't blame you if you wanted to burn Christmas scents year round) and some I only use in the summer. These are in no particular order, I love all of them!

This is the Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut by White Barn that I bought at Bath and Bodyworks. This candle smells AMAZING! It smells like you just walked into a bakery and they were making warm cinnamon doughnuts. It burns really well, not extremely fast but fast enough to burn out to the rim before you want to blow it out.

This is the Yankee Candle in Autumn Pumpkin and it's limited edition. I bought it at Tj maxx which is my favorite store and my favorite place to buy candles because they're cheap and they have a good selection. It smells like Autumn in a jar and even though it says pumpkin, it smells more like spices and leaves than pumpkin. It burns similar to the last one but it has a little more burning time.

This is the Apple Flower candle by White Barn that I bought at Bath and Bodyworks. It smells very springy like sweet apple. I usually wouldn't even think about smelling an apple scented candle but this one is amazing. It burns like the first one because they are both from Bath and Bodyworks.

This is the Chesapeake Bay candle in Fresh Farm Vanilla. I bought it at Tj maxx. I LOVE this one sooo much because it smells just like fresh vanilla milk. I also like it because I think it is a smell you could burn year round. It burns a lot like the Yankee Candle.

This is the Bath and Bodyworks Coconut Leaves candle. I burned this a ton in the summer because it smells very tropical but also warm. It is very strong so it's good that it can burn out to the edge quickly enough for you to not be completely overwhelmed, especially if you burn it in you're bedroom.

Thanks for reading this post! Let me know what other top 5 you would like to see!
