How to Crochet a Flower Headband/Garland

This is how I made a crochet flower garland. (Btw, I used my little sister as a model, check out her youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9V8ESv0vUEGmCHB5eZIBgg )
This is the yarn I used. I got these all from a second hand craft store in my town. The turquoise is Good Shepherd Tulip 100% acrylic yarn. The peach and lavender are Patons Promise yarn. The white is KFI Chunky yarn.
The needles I used were Boye U.S.A. needles in 4.25mm for the colored yarn, and 5.5mm for the white yarn.

To make the Flowers...

First chain 4, then connect to make a loop with a slip stitch in the first chain.

Chain 2, then do 2 double crochets in the loop, slip stitch in the loop to finish the petal.

Repeat until you have 5 petals. Chain 1, cut the string and pull the end through. Leave the 2 long strings so you can tie it to the garland later.

To make the garland, I just chained and every once in a while, I would slip stitch a couple of chains in to make it look like leaves, you can make this as long as you want but I just made it so it would have some slack if you used it as a headband.

Take your flowers and connect them to the garland by pulling the strings through different parts of the chain, then tying the strings together into a few knots. You can be creative by mixing different colors and sizes of flowers so have fun with it.

Here I demonstrate it being used as a headband and as decoration.

Simple Spring Makeup Routine

Since I am now on Spring Break, I made a roundup of the products I will be using to do my makeup for most of this week as we are in Utah and we will be exploring and hiking around, and I think simple makeup like this is perfect for this occasion.

Fist I will use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer under my eyes a little bit, on any blemishes, and on my eyelid to cancel out the veins. I will follow by setting the concealer with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transluscent to avoid creasing.

Next I will add some blush, this is the Tarte Amazonian-Clay 12 hour blush in Fame. I think this is the perfect blush for spring because it has peachy and coral undertones.

Then I will highlight with the Wet N Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve your Cabana which is definitely not a bronzer. This gives such a pretty natural glow which is perfect for natural makeup like this.

Then I will line my water line with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt to brighten the eyes, I will follow that up with some L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara on top and bottom lashes. This mascara is amazing because it will never get clumpy but it still adds volume and length. To finish everything off, I will just hit my brows with a little bit of Maybelline Brow Drama in Soft brown to define my eyebrows.

Mini Ulta Haul

These are the few things that I ordered from Ulta recently.

This is the Maybelline Color Elixer in Caramel Infused. I got this because I wanted a new lipgloss but really because there was a deal that if you got 2 Maybelline products then you get 1 free, and I already had 2 Maybelline products I was getting so I got this as my third product. I really like the color and the formula but it smells really weird.

I got the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15 Fair because it's my favorite concealer and I just ran out of it. I love how light weight it is so it never looks cakey but it still covers up.

I got the L'oreal Telescopic Carbon Black mascara upon request from KathleenLights and I hated the mascara that I had before this so I needed a new one. I love this so far because it is easy to work with and it never gets clumpy.

Lastly, I got the Maybelline The Nudes eyeshadow palette because I don't have a drugstore eyeshadow palette, I only have single eyeshadows from the drugstore, and I liked the look of this one. I really like it so far accept for the 2 lightest shimmery shades, especially the one on the top because they have barely any pigmentation, but the rest are great.

Let me know if you want to see a swatch post for the palette.

What's in My Purse

Today I decided to do the what's in my purse tag/post and this is my purse that I got for Christmas, and it is from Target.

The first thing I have is my wallet. I got this from a friend for my birthday last year so I don't really know where it's from but I think possibly from target. I really love it because I like the color and the gold.

As for random bath and body stuff, I have a really old bath and body works hand sanitizer that is probably expired but it's my favorite scent in Vanilla Buttercream. Next I have a TeaTree, Lemon and Sage body lotion that I got in my stocking last Christmas. Last I have my addiction which is the Be Delectable from Cake Beauty, lemon and cream hair and body mist. This smells amazing and as you can see it's almost gone, so i'm going to have to go get some more soon because I love it so much, I got it from Khol's.

As for lip products, I have 4 which is kind of a lot for me but whatever. The first one I have is the 2Lips Dark Chocolate and Mint lip butter which I think is ok but it's not like amazing or anything, but it tastes good. Then I have a super random lip gloss and the only thing it says on it is First Date so I don't know where it's from but maybe forever 21? I really like the color and how it looks but it doesn't stay on for very long. Next I have my favorite lipgloss ever, it is the Mary Kay lipgloss in Cafe Au Lait. I got this 2 Christmases ago from my Grandma which is really random but I love the formula and the color. Then I have the Nivea A kiss of Care and Color Sheer Coral Lip Care, which is ok but not great because I really don't like the taste and smell.

Next I have this little wooden box that I keep random hair stuff in.

Lastly I just have some random pencils and a bath and body works coupon.
