Jaclyn Hill x Becca Champagne Collection Face Palette Review and Swatches

I love Jaclyn Hill and I learn so much from her youtube channel, so when I heard about this collection I was super excited and I have always wanted Champagne Pop so I got this for my birthday last month and I love it!

I love the packaging for this palette because the gold and white are so fannnnceyyy

That mirror tho

Here I swatched Prosecco Pop (left) and Champagne Pop (right), they are both amazing, I love to use Champagne Pop on my face because I am more fair and I use Prosecco Pop on my shoulders and collar bone if they are showing because it's a little too gold to put on my face but it would be beautiful if you had a warmer skin tone.

The three blushes are super pigmented and they are all beautiful. I swatched from left to right, Pamplemousse, Amaretto, and Rose Spritz. I use all of them a lot but Rose Spritz is probably my favorite because it just goes really well with a simple look and you don't even have to highlight after (but I always do ;) ). Sometimes I even use Amaretto as a bronzer because I have a pink undertone or I just put it all over my cheeks. This has definitely been my favorite makeup product since I bought it and I highly recommend it.

Here is where you can find it Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette on Sephora

April and May Empties

These are my empties for the months April and May!

For hair, I went through the AG Curl Recoil Conditioner. I have had this for a really long time because the bottle is huge, I liked this a lot even though it isn't my favorite which is the OGX Coconut milk for curly hair, it was still really good and it smelled like creamy oranges. Next, I went through the Batiste dry shampoo in the tropical scent. I usually love tropical scents but this I actually didn't like very much, so I will probably try a different scent next time.

As for skincare, I went through another Garnier Skinactive Micellar water, which I have a review for here http://heidi-loo.blogspot.com/2016/02/garnier-skinactive-micellar-cleansing.html    and I really like it so I have already repurchased it. Next is the T.N. Dickenson's Witch Hazel which I use as a toner after I wash my face. I repurchased an off brand bottle after this but I think this one is better. Last, I went through the Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive skin which I kept in the shower while I used the Cetephil one when I wasn't in the shower. I like this a lot and I would repurchase but I haven't yet.

For random stuff, I burnt through an Orange Dreamsicle Yankee Candle votive and I liked it but I thought it would have smelled more fresh when I burned it because of the orange, but it smelled more strongly of vanilla but I still liked it and I have another votive in this scent and I will be using it soon. Lastly, I used up my sample size of the Mary Kay Cafe Au Lait lipgloss which Is my favorite lipgloss and I plan on purchasing the full size soon.

Bible Journaling Entry #1

I recently got a journaling bible and finally did my first entry. This is the my process and materials I used.

First I planned out the verse in pencil.

Then I traced it in colored pencils and outlined a flower in pencil.

Then I filled in the flower with colored pencil, then I started adding some watercolor to the letters and later to the flower. By the way, the watercolor didn't bleed through the page surprisingly.

After I finished the watercolor, I made a tab for the top of my page.

By the way these are the watercolors I used. The brand is Milan.

How to Make Simple and Healthy Pancakes

This is how I make these simple and healthy pancakes. Enjoy!

The only ingredients you need to make these pancakes is 1 banana and 2 eggs, plus any other things that you like. I always like to add chia seeds and cinnamon and sometimes chocolate chips. Share in the comments what you like to put in them.

First you want to mash up the banana in a bowl with a fork.

Then add the 2 eggs and mix.

Add whatever else you want and mix.

Then cook on a pan just like you would a normal pancake.

To finish it off I added some sliced strawberries and powdered sugar, and later I added some syrup.

Sorry this is 1 day late, I had sooooo much homework yesterday.

10 High School Tips

1. Avoid drama at all costs!- you will be a lot happier and less worried, do it!

2. Lay out your stuff the night before- lay out your outfit for the next day, pack your bag, and make your lunch the night before and your life in the morning will be much easier.

3. Make sure you start your homework before 7 or even 6- this doesn't mean you have to do it right when you get home but if you start it at least before dinner, you will be way less stressed and you will get more sleep.

4. Use your planner- write down all your homework while you are still in class so you don't forget about anything, again less stress for the next day.

5. Take every opportunity for extra credit- if your teacher gives you any opportunity, do it. You will be very thankful you did at the end at the grading period. It may even be the difference between a letter grade.

6. Study with friends- if you set a date to go study with friends, you will probably get more done than if you just stay at home and procrastinate.

7. Make sure you take time to do fun things with your friends or family- to relieve stress and take a break.

8. Don't conform to trends if you don't like them- you don't need to do things in high school or ever just to "be cool" because then you aren't being yourself.

9. Always ask for help if you need it- ask you teachers for help if you don't understand something, and if you don't like your teacher, ask another teacher in the same department and they will gladly help you.

10. Don't stress about tests- if you understand the material pretty well and you can keep your grade up before the test, then you will probably do fine on the test, and if you don't then your grade will have a cushion as long as you can keep it up with projects and little assignments.

February and March Empties

Greetings, so usually I do an Empties every month but I decided to wait 2 months so I could have more things to show.  Enjoy!

This is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which is my favorite ever and I have already re-purchased it.

I used up a mini size of the Cetaphil cleanser that i just kept in my shower, but I have the full sized that I use everyday by my sink. I also have the Cetaphil daily facial moisturizer which is my favorite and I have already re-purchased it.

I used up my first bottle of the Garnier Skinactive Micellar Water, here I have a review of it http://heidi-loo.blogspot.com/2016/02/garnier-skinactive-micellar-cleansing.html  I have already re-purchased this, and I just went through some cheap cotton rounds from the drugstore which is how i use this product.

Here I have the Be Delectable by Cake Beauty Body wash and the Hair and Body Mist in lemon and cream. I love the scent of these and I will probably be purchasing the full size of the spray soon.

This is a triple moisture cream from Bath and Body Works in London Tulips and Raspberry Tea. I liked this a lot but it started to get boring towards the end, it's very floral and sweet and also the lid broke and I lost it so I'm so glad I'm finished with it because I could never stand it up.

As for some random things, I have the Curly Sexy Hair conditioner that has taken me forever to get through but I liked it even though it wasn't my favorite. Lastly, I have the Colgate Optic white toothpaste which has been my favorite for a while  but I am currently trying out a new one, but I may go back to this.

How to Crochet a Flower Headband/Garland

This is how I made a crochet flower garland. (Btw, I used my little sister as a model, check out her youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9V8ESv0vUEGmCHB5eZIBgg )
This is the yarn I used. I got these all from a second hand craft store in my town. The turquoise is Good Shepherd Tulip 100% acrylic yarn. The peach and lavender are Patons Promise yarn. The white is KFI Chunky yarn.
The needles I used were Boye U.S.A. needles in 4.25mm for the colored yarn, and 5.5mm for the white yarn.

To make the Flowers...

First chain 4, then connect to make a loop with a slip stitch in the first chain.

Chain 2, then do 2 double crochets in the loop, slip stitch in the loop to finish the petal.

Repeat until you have 5 petals. Chain 1, cut the string and pull the end through. Leave the 2 long strings so you can tie it to the garland later.

To make the garland, I just chained and every once in a while, I would slip stitch a couple of chains in to make it look like leaves, you can make this as long as you want but I just made it so it would have some slack if you used it as a headband.

Take your flowers and connect them to the garland by pulling the strings through different parts of the chain, then tying the strings together into a few knots. You can be creative by mixing different colors and sizes of flowers so have fun with it.

Here I demonstrate it being used as a headband and as decoration.

Simple Spring Makeup Routine

Since I am now on Spring Break, I made a roundup of the products I will be using to do my makeup for most of this week as we are in Utah and we will be exploring and hiking around, and I think simple makeup like this is perfect for this occasion.

Fist I will use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer under my eyes a little bit, on any blemishes, and on my eyelid to cancel out the veins. I will follow by setting the concealer with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transluscent to avoid creasing.

Next I will add some blush, this is the Tarte Amazonian-Clay 12 hour blush in Fame. I think this is the perfect blush for spring because it has peachy and coral undertones.

Then I will highlight with the Wet N Wild Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve your Cabana which is definitely not a bronzer. This gives such a pretty natural glow which is perfect for natural makeup like this.

Then I will line my water line with the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt to brighten the eyes, I will follow that up with some L'Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black Mascara on top and bottom lashes. This mascara is amazing because it will never get clumpy but it still adds volume and length. To finish everything off, I will just hit my brows with a little bit of Maybelline Brow Drama in Soft brown to define my eyebrows.
