January Empties!

These are the products I have used up in the month of January!

This is the L'oreal True Match Powder that I bought at Target. This was probably one of the best powders I have used because it is so smooth and blendable although I think I like the Rimmel Stay Matte powder just a little bit more, but this one is still good.

This is the Murad Acne Spot Fast Fix. I liked this a lot but towards the end, I think my skin started getting too used to it, so it wasn't doing much, but I think if I came back to it after using other things that I would really like it.

This is the Olay Wet Cleansing Towelettes for Sensitive skin that I bought from Target. I think is pretty much in all my empties, but thats because I love these wipes to clean my face and to remove makeup, and they don't irritate my face.

This is the Tokyo Lotus and Apple Blossom Shower Gel from Bath and Body Works. I liked this scent, it was very floral and sweet but also unique. Towards the end I started to get bored of the scent but that's just because it lasts so long and that doesn't mean that it isn't a good scent.

This is the Short Sexy Hair Shampoo that I bought from TJ.MAXX. Now, I do not have short hair but my sister got this because she has short hair and didn't like it, so I tried it and I have curly hair and the reason I liked this was because it was really moisturizing to my scalp and hair, which if you have curly hair you know is a big deal. I wouldn't say it was my favorite ever, but I liked it.

This is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave in Conditioner. I really love this mostly because it makes my hair smell really good but is also really good at making my hair soft. Again with the moisture for curly hair.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette Review and Swatches!

This is my review and swatches of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette!

I have had this palette for 18 months so I have had a lot of time to play around with it and I love it. It does cost $54 so it's real expensive, but I got this as a gift so it didn't seem that bad to me even though it was crazy expensive. Honestly I'm not really sure if it is worth that much because the shadows aren't as pigmented as say the Tarte Showstopper palette, which I also did a review and swatches post for, and that palette was only $40 on the Tarte website, and it was super pigmented! I do really like these rosy and bronzy shades and they have mostly good pigmentation, but I just was expecting more pigmentation from this palette since it was so expensive. Let's get into the swatches!

From right to left these shades are, Strange, Dust, Burnout, and Limit. I love Strange because it is a really good brow bone highlight because it isn't shimmery, and as you can see this one is pretty pigmented. Dust is one that barely has any pigmentation. When I swatched it on my arm, I went over it several times and this was as good as I could get it. I do sometimes use it over Strange in the inner corner of my eye, just to add a little shimmer and it's ok but I wish It was better. Burnout is one I used a lot when I first got it because it was a color I was used to and I still really like it, but I don't use it as much and the pigmentation is ok. Limit is one of my favorite shadows in this palette. I love to use it all over my lid with Nooner in the crease if I don't want any shimmer on the lid.

From right to left these shades are Buzz, Trick, Nooner, and Liar. Buzz is actually pretty pigmented but I don't use it as much as I thought I would, so I would like to start using it more. Trick is a really pretty gold with hints of pink mixed in and I really like it, but I feel like it is more of a summer and fall shade so I haven't used it much recently. Nooner is probably my favorite shadow in the whole palette, and it may not look that special, but it is the perfect crease color for any pink based eye look. Liar I have barely used at all, but after swatching it, I think it would be amazing all over the lid, and I really want to start using it.

From right to left these shades are Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, and Blackheart. Factory is one of the most pigmented, and I really should use it more. Mugshot is like a taupe and gold mix, and I think this would look pretty on the outer half of the lid. Darkside is really interesting because it swatches completely different than what it looks like in the palette, which after seeing it swatched, I think I could really like it, because it looks really bronzy swatched as  opposed to in the pan where it looks more grey. Blackheart is a really dark brown with glitter, and this would be really good for liner, if you didn't want to use an eyeliner pencil. It is also extremely pigmented.

Overall this palette is really good even though it is really expensive and not all of the shades are as pigmented as they should be for the price, I still like it. If you want to see it on the website, click the link below.

Yankee Candle Semi Annual Sale Haul!

This is my Yankee Candle haul from their Semi Annual Sale!

I bought 2 of the Orange Dreamsicle votives. These were 75% off, so they were 50 cents, and so were all of the votives I bought. This scent smells just like an orange dreamsicle, which is amazing.
I bought 2 Green Grass votives. This is a perfect scent for spring because it smells like grass but maybe a little sweet, like there is some fruit mixed in with grass, which I really like.

I bought 1 Wild Sea Grass votive. I really like this scent so i'm planning on going back to get more. It's very fresh and grassy and it just smells like your by the sea.

I bought 1 Honeydew Melon votive. This is really a fresh fruity and sweet scent, but I can also get a more grassy green note from it.

I bought 1 Meyer Lemon votive. I was looking for anything lemon because it's one of my favorite scents and this is what I found. I think it's a sweet lemon scent, but it's hard to tell since I haven't used it yet.

I bought 1 Sparkling Snow tart. I felt like I needed some scents for winter that weren't Christmas scents. This is very fresh and it has a hint of balsam or pine in it.

I bought 1 Cherries On Snow tart. Again with the winter scents I liked this because it was like a fresh cherry, and I wouldn't usually like a cherry scent but since this was fresh, I liked it.

I bought 1 Strawberry Lemon Ice tart. I love this scent, probably because it has lemon in it... This is a very fruity scent for spring and summer and I love it! I may have payed full price for this one and the next but I don't remember.

I bought 1 April Showers tart. This is a fresh scent that I think smells like rain with a hint of lemon.

I bought 1 of these votive holders, and it was 50% off so I got it for $2. I got this because all my votive holders are Christmasy so I can use this one year round.

The rest of the stuff my parents bought me for christmas because they got me a scenterpiece warmer and I wanted to include these because I got them recently.

They got me 1 Mistletoe Easy Melt Cup. This smells like pure pine tree, which obviously my mom picked out because it's her favorite scent.

They got me 1 Christmas Cookie Easy Melt Cup. This is my favorite scent, and I have been using it since the day we got back from Christmas break. It smells like you are baking sugar cookies, mmmmmm.

They got me 1 Apple Cider Easy Melt Cup. I am going to save this until next fall because I think it will be perfect. It smells just like hot apple cider.

They got me 1 Pink Sands Easy Melt Cup. I am saving this one until spring and summer, but it smells like a fruity beach and I can't wait to use it.

Tarte Showstopper Clay Palette Review and Swatches

Here is my personal review and experience with the Tarte Showstopper Clay Palette, plus swatches!

As you can see, it comes with 6 eyeshadows, 1 bronzer, 1 blush, and 1 highlight.

The highlight is the Amazonian Clay Highlight in Champagne Pink, which is one of my favorite things in the palette because I can use it for my face highlight but also on my eyes in the inner corner and the brow bone. The blush is the Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Fame. This blush is extremely pigmented, and a really pretty color for spring and summer. The bronzer is the Amazonian Clay Matte Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave. Princess, which I have been loving for using in my crease for eyeshadow, because I don't really wear bronzer, but it is a pretty color.

From left to right the eyeshadow shades are, Showstopper Copper, Go for the Gold, You're a Natural, Steel the Scene, Rose to the Top, and Dim the Lights. My favorites are Showstopper Copper, which I like to use in the outer corner, You're a Natural, which I use as a transition shade in the crease as the first eyeshadow I put on the eye,  and Rose to the Top, which I like to use in the outer corner when I'm using rosy colors.

December Empties!

These are the products I used up in the month of December! Enjoy!

This is the Olay wet cleansing towelettes for sensitive skin. These are my all time favorite makeup remover/cleansing wipes, because they are not too dry but they aren't super wet and soapy. I have already re-purchased these at Target.

This is the Curel Daily Moisture Lotion. I've had this for a while and just finished it up after the lotion from my last empties, and it was pretty good, but also pretty basic and not anything special.

This is the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer that I bought from Target. This is my favorite face moisturizer because it soaks in immediately and it doesn't feel sticky, it also has SPF which is great for the daytime.

This is the Covergirl Clean Pressed Powder that I bought at Target. This was ok, I wasn't blown away by it or anything, but it did it's job. I try a new setting powder every time I run out, so now I know this one won't be my favorite. Also it had a scent that was kind of like some sort of skincare, but it wasn't bad.
This is an Italian Lemon Hand Cream that I got in my stocking last year, so I don't really know where it is from. It isn't really like a thick cream, but more like a light lotion which is sometimes good, and I love lemon scents so obviously I liked it.

This is the Maybelline Define-A-Lash Mascara. I liked this, but not quite enough for it to be my new favorite. I also like to try a lot of different mascaras, and this one was in the lengthening category so I wanted to try it, because I usually like lengthening over thickening. This has a rubber applicator as apposed to the bristles, which I don't have a big opinion on which I like more but I think the rubber ones tend to curl my lashes better.
